Geography Fieldwork Trip November 2024

Year 10 Geographers completed their first piece of fieldwork in freezing conditions at the end of November.  Students were investigating the impact of The Westgate Centre on Oxford City Centre.

Students had a range of data collection techniques that looked at land use, environmental quality and the number of people in an area.  Students also interviewed the general public about their views on the Westgate Centre and visited the Christmas Market in Broad Street.

Students will use this data to complete part of their course, looking at how a fieldwork enquiry can investigate an issue like The Westgate centre.
