Marlborough Enterpise Centre (MEC)

The MEC is a purpose built business and performance centre, with the flexibility to accommodate groups as small as 5, or as large as 250 delegates. This facility can be further extended by using the sports hall, which is linked to the MEC, making this an ideal space for exhibitions accommodating 1000 or more visitors.

The venue has the potential to be used for a wide range of functions, for example:

  • Small meetings
  • Large conferences
  • Training courses
  • Workshops
  • Performing Arts - Drama Productions, Concerts, Dance
  • Exhibitions
  • Film Shows
  • Fundraising Events

Main Hall

The hall is a particularly attractive and light space. It is equipped with:

  • High specification theatre lighting;
  • Staging and back drop;
  • Wooden sprung dance floor;
  • Overhead digital projection unit and large projection screen;
  • A 'sound field' PA system (hearing loop system);
  • Laptop/DVD/CD/iPod connections;
  • Good acoustics;
  • Seating capacity for up to 250 delegates;
  • Moveable display boards;
  • Complete blackout.

Hiring mec hall


Large Sports Hall

The sports hall is equipped for badminton, indoor football and basketball. It is suitable for wheelchairs. The Sports Hall connects to the MEC Hall and so combined are ideal for trade shows or exhibitions.

Sports Field

A large open space available evenings and weekends. It is ideal for sports, but is also for hire for non-sporting outside activities.


Secure Non-Sporting Field

Located at the rear of the school is a secure field which is regularly used by Caravan and Autotrail clubs.


Hard Court Area

This area is suitable for 5-aside football, netball, tennis as well as non-sporting events.


Car Park

There is free car parking for up to 100 cars for all events.
