We are absolutely delighted to share the outstanding achievement of our Sixth Form students once again this year at Marlborough.

 

In terms of the grades they have achieved, this represents the best ever performance by a group of young people in our school - and our results have always historically been incredibly high. We are delighted that 43% of all our grades are A*/A - a remarkable figure - with 67% of all grades at A*- B.

 

The vast majority of pupils have also achieved their first or insurance choice of destination, be it a high quality apprenticeship or their chosen course at University. Apprenticeships include placements at The JR Hospital and with the RAF, whilst our students have been able to access a huge range of subjects and courses, from Computer Science to English Literature, Marine Biology to French and Spanish. This year, our students are off to study at Universities all over the country, including Oxford, Cambridge, Exeter, Durham, Bath, Warwick, Edinburgh and Liverpool. We are proud of every single one of them.

 

It was fantastic to see the school values of ambition, matched with perseverance, being lived out in these young people. Each person has a great story and there are so many individual tales of courage and determination, which is what makes today so special.

 

We wish all of our great Sixth Form class of 2024 all the very best as they head into the world to begin their exciting new lives! They have been a credit to the school.
