Christmas Carol Church Concert
BackArticle / Posted on 19 Dec 2024
Monday 16th December the Marlborough community came together to enjoy the return of our Christmas Carol Service at St. Mary Magdalene Church, Woodstock. The service, which was open to everyone, provided an opportunity to take a break from the 'busyness' of the festive period and offered a time for reflection and calmness.
Following Revd. Sarah Bourne's welcome introduction, traditional Christmas Carols were beautifully sung by the audience, with the accompanying music played by our very talented music students Toby (Violin) and Ed (Piano).
In between Carols, readings were delivered by several of our students who spoke so well and with such confidence, showing themselves to be fantastic ambassadors for our school. The audience also enjoyed readings from the Principal, Mr Hanlon, and a number of our teaching staff. Mrs Hoyland, RE Curriculum Leader and the schools SIAMS lead, led the closing prayer and Rev'd Bourne concluded the service with a blessing.
It was a joyful, heart-warming evening, thank you to all those who attended. We hope to see you at next year's service.
