Shakespeare Festival: 17th July 2024

On Wednesday this week, Year 7 participated in the annual English department Shakespeare
Festival, celebrating all things Shakespearean, and having a go at being the bard himself. Throughout the course of the afternoon, they took part in workshops encouraging their creative and imaginative sides, drawing together their knowledge of the world of Shakespeare from their study of Macbeth this term. Ranging from artistic interpretations of a range of Macbeth quotes to learning the nuances of insulting their peers in a language of the bard’s own creation, the afternoon was truly a sight to behold. Throughout the school, joy and excitement could be found wherever you looked, seen so clearly in the photos taken of the event.
