Sixth Form Open Evening Success

It was a pleasure to invite prospective Sixth Form students and their families along to the Open Evening at The Marlborough C of E School. The evening started with a talk from our Head of Sixth Form Mrs Jones, followed by Olly and Pippa, two current Sixth Form students, who spoke passionately about their experience as part of the ‘Marlborough family’. 

A Level teaching staff were available to answer questions about their respective subjects and members of the Sixth Form team and current students were able to provide a flavour for life in the Sixth Form and the support available. There was an opportunity to see current course work on display, in the Art and Design Technology areas, as well as students’ subject books. 

Special mention should go to our unfailingly polite and helpful Sixth Form guides – as our vision states, ‘we cannot be judged by outcomes alone, but by the people we help to shape’ - certainly our pupils are the best possible ambassadors for our school and represent us so well on these occasions.
