Longborough Opera Visit

We had the pleasure of once again welcoming Longborough Festival Opera this year. A group of GCSE Drama students were able to enjoy a workshop led by two professional opera singers and the musical director of the Longborough Chorus.

The workshop was based on their upcoming production of Macbeth which was the first Shakespeare play the composer, Verdi, adapted, calling the tragedy "one of the greatest creations of man". Macbeth will feature the Longborough Community Chorus working alongside the Festival Chorus and Orchestra. Some of our students will look forward to seeing the dress rehearsal of Macbeth in the summer.
