The Marlborough School Open Evening
Back
September 25th saw our annual Open Evening event, an opportunity for prospective pupils and their parents to visit our exceptional school as they begin to look forward to the next stage of their educational journey - secondary school. The evening attracted over 500 visitors, filling the MEC (Marlborough Enterprise Centre), with Principal, Mr Hanlon, opening the event with an introduction and welcome to the school. Visitors were then split into groups for a tour of the school site and our fantastic facilities, guided by staff members. This also provided an opportunity for visitors to talk with staff, current students and other families.
During the event, four of our students - Rosen and Sophie (Year 12), Molly and Zach (Year 8) - took to the stage to deliver a heartfelt and engaging speech on their personal experience of being part of the 'Marlborough family'. Each student spoke with such confidence and really connected with the audience, they truly are outstanding ambassadors for our school.
It was a wonderful evening and we were thrilled to see so many prospective pupils and parents attend, we hope the evening provided an insight into how proud staff and pupils are to be part of the 'Marlborough community'.
