GCSE Success at The Marlborough School

The pupils of The Marlborough School have once again shown unbelievable commitment in what was a really demanding exam season this year - our pupils really stepped up and have been richly rewarded for their efforts with a brilliant set of results in their GCSE examinations. These results show, once again, and a week after our outstanding A Level results, that Marlborough is a school where you can fulfil all your ambitions and that we can compete academically with any school in the country. 

Overall, the school is well above all national benchmarks in every measure, but it is the individual stories of commitment and perseverance that are so special. We know the barriers that our young people have had to work to overcome and it is inspiring and affirming to see so many of them achieving so well. 

We are also delighted and proud to welcome so many of our current year 11s back into the Sixth Form next year – along with a significant group of external applicants. We know they will be one of the strongest cohorts we have ever had.

We are equally as proud of our students who are going on to study at College or to take u a high-quality Apprenticeship. You go into the world with all our best wishes and the promise that you will always be a member of The Marlborough family. 

A massive thank you to our parents and carers who have lived these past few months with us and their children and to the highly skilled and expert staff who always go the extra mile to help and support our students. You have all worked incredibly hard, and these results are a testimony to your ambition and perseverance.

Thank you again to all our families, young people and staff – it is a great team effort and such a testament to all the hard work of the past few years.
