Visit from Longborough Opera (Wednesday 14th May)

Today, my fellow drama GCSE students and I had the pleasure of being visited by Longborough Opera who ran an incredible workshop for us! We were lucky enough to listen to two incredible opera singers perform; a mezzo-soprano and baritone, who both have major roles in the famous opera, "The Barber Of Seville". Along with an accompanist and director, they led us through a few active theatre warm-ups before introducing us to how an opera overture was created, giving us a chance to create our own with the aid of props and live music! All together, my classmates and I had a wonderful and memorable time, being both enthralled and enlightened to what Opera entails. Isla G (Year 10).
