Charity Week 2026!

Article / Posted on 30 Apr 2026
This year’s Charity Week has been a spectacular success, bringing our entire community together to support our three chosen charities this year. Our local charity was SeeSaw, which provides essential grief support for children and young people in Oxfordshire. Our National charity was the Oxford Children’s Hospital, which helps to provide specialist medical equipment and a child-friendly environment for children all over the UK. Finally, our international charity was Save the Children, which supports emergency aid and long-term projects for children in the world’s toughest places all over the world.
As a school, our charity work is ongoing, but we have one week a year where we focus on it more: Charity Week - a week that every student at Marlborough looks forward to! Every child took part in multiple activities throughout the week, bringing together the whole school community. One of the highlights was our 'Battle of the Bands' event, a spectacular musical evening where our talented musicians rocked the stage in front of a packed house; the top three bands won the opportunity to play at this year’s popular ‘Woodstock Live’ event. Other activities included 'Soak the Teacher' (perhaps the most popular event of the week!), a quiz, library challenges, Send the Sweets, tuck shops, and the Fun Run!
A massive thank you to the Community and Social Action team for all their incredible leadership, and to the staff and students who made Charity Week 2026 a week to remember. We also extend our thanks to the whole Marlborough school community for their donations and support. The money you have helped us raise will genuinely change lives for the better. The final total is still being calculated but our JustGiving page is still open for any last sponsorship here.
