This was the first year we had a baking competition as part of Charity Week and the students rose to the occasion. This event was a true celebration of our school community, throughout the competition, we saw incredible ambition in the complex recipes chosen, and a great deal of perseverance—especially from those who had to navigate the occasional collapsed sponge or tricky icing! Most importantly, the respect shown by all participants for one another's work made this a truly joyful event.

 

Well done to everyone who participated! Your hard work made this one of the most delicious events of the year. We then sold the entries at the cake sale, the wait in the queues was definitely worth it for the students as they enjoyed every mouthful! A full write up of the competition, winners and categories, will be available in The Marlborough News, due to be published at the end of this term.
